Penumbral timing runs from P1 to P4. The umbral interval runs from U1 to U4, and totality from U2 to U3. Contact times are reconstructed from the astronomy model's semi-durations around the calculated peak.

Global event, not local visibility

This finder identifies lunar eclipses that occur somewhere on Earth. It does not determine whether the Moon is above the horizon, whether the eclipse occurs in darkness, or whether clouds permit viewing at a particular location. Umbral obscuration is apparent disc area covered, not the different quantity called umbral magnitude in NASA catalogues.
